JOB DESCRIPTION
- Contribute and collaborate with the team leads in directing and managing our product development and technical roadmap
- Translate functional requirements into detailed designs.
- Actively contribute to software development of products that fulfill the needs of our target communities and markets
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to deploy, monitor, and optimize large-scale applications.
- Collaborate with customer success to resolve issues.
- Deliver technical documentation for use by customers
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS or MS in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Has experience in technical leadership and team mentoring
- 5+ years of experience in Java Spring Boot, JPA (Hibernate would be an advantage), Javascript (AngularJS would be an advantage), Tomcat, and MySQL for a commercial software environment
- 3+ years of experience in financial services like core banking solutions and cash management systems.
- Experience in principles such as OOP, design patterns, and best practices
- Experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud-hosted operations is a huge plus.
- Strong knowledge and experience in two or more of the following areas: databases, Linux, queueing, banking and financial services, analytics/reporting, machine learning, and/or performance
- Experience in either Git, Gradle, Grunt, and/or Mifos X would also be desirable
